Streetwork and a day at the beach

The boys had their first experience with streetwork in town. They placed lots of tracts and spoke to many people. They were both so brave. They really are growing up.

After streetwork we came home and changed for the beach. Seagram and Cara took us to Camps Bay for the afternoon. At first the boys didn't want to walk on the sand but eventually they did.Broc loved the waves and never wanted to leave. Mark was hooked on playing bat and ball with his dad.

What a GREAT relaxing day at the beach with family.

Three BIG days of FUN

We took the boys to the Waterfront Aquarium. What a lot of fun. The boys loved seeing all the fish, crabs, sharks, eels etc. Brocs favorite was the frogs. The exhibit was small but he stayed there forever. Mark loved the preditor tank. So much that we had to come back later to see them being fed. He even asked questions during the talk show. We were so proud of him for bring so brave.

The next day we picked up my sister Cara and went to Hout Bay Harbour for the day. When Mark and I were on Honeymoon that is one of the places we went. We had lunch at the restuarant which was amazing. Ever since then we said that every time we came to Cape Town we would go there for lunch.

The platterhas gotten smaller than we remember but they food was still delicious.

The boys loved walking on the beach although it was very windy and sand was blowing everywhere.

After that we walked along the docks and saw some seals.

We also saw some Cape Minstrels at the harbour.

Afterwards we went to Seapoint to cool off with some ice cream.

The next day we took a road trip to visit Cape Point. On the way there we stopped at Simonstown to visit the penguins at Bolders Bay.They were so cute.

It was a long walk to see the penguins but was very well worth it. We took my sister Michaela with us for the day. Mark and Micky have formed a very nice bond.He looks up to her like a big sister.

After Simonstown we drove to Cape Point to venture all the way to the top. We were thinking of taking a little cable car up but we made the walk. Mark had to carry Broc most of the way as his legs could not keep up. He is having a tough time here with his legs and energy. His legs are not used to doing so much as we has been on restrictions for 6 months since his surgery.

Eating sea salt at the sea.

WOW... That was 3 days packed with lots of walking and fun.
