Some Accomplishments

First of all the boys wanted me to share with all their friends in South Africa what they look like once they are dressed in the morning for school with the weather getting colder.

Once Winter and the snow hit them it will be gloves and snow boots as well and maybe a face cover for Broc too , although not sure how that will go over too well.He hates his face being covered.

Since the new DVD came out at our District Convention this year we have been wanting to post the boys and our grandson Bentley singing but to keep it a secret until everyone had their convention we had to wait.Unfortuntely Broc was ill so there is a cough or too in between.
The boys love the lessons in them too. Besides watching it with the boys we had Bentley one weekend and he must have asked to watch it over 10 times. Which was no problem cause the boys love it.

Anyway here is a video of Bentley singing and the boys.

Here is a short video of Mark reading one of his reading books for school. He is doing such a great job with his reading.

We are so proud of all our little ones accomplishments. Hope you enjoy it.

While the Cats are away the Mice will play.

In this case the Cats are Brocs Ped and Immuno Dr and the Mice are Brocs immune system. Since the end of Sep Broc has had 3 bacterial infections. He has also missed a lot of school.Fortunately he has a 504 Plan in place which does excuse him from being at school. He is unfortunately a little behind and needs all the extra help he can get from the teachers at school.

We are hoping that with lots of rest and breathing treatments he will fight this infection fast as we all have a wedding to go to this weekend.I am so excited my cousin is getting married and being so far away from all my family we are not able to attend any.So having a wedding over here in the States is wonderful. She met a lovely young man from Wisconsin. The boys have there tuxedo's ready to go and are very excited too. Just praying that this infection leaves Broc soon so we can all attend as a family.

We will post lots of pics next week so come back to see them all.Its going to be a fun filled weekend for all.

What a weekend

Broc very kindly shared the stomach flu with Little Mark and I. So far daddy has escaped it. We got more bad news in that Broc does indeed have c diff. So we have stopped his ABX and are starting him on vancomycin.
We are now faced with the dilemma when Broc gets another bacterial infection we have to treat him with ABX but then take the risk of him getting c diff. I hate this cycle we are in.

This is something we need to discuss with his immuno dr when he gets back from vacation.

We are finally home !!

So after a loooong day we are home. His dx was gastro with possible c diff and a UTI. They discharged him with a fever and said give Motrin every 4 hours.Cause his immune system has taken a left shift( his WBC and neutrophils are really high and his lymphocytes really low) once again, they gave him IV antibiotics. They are not sure how he got another bacterial infection on top of the one he already has while being on antibiotics. All they can think is that one was resistant to the antibiotic. We still have to test for c diff.

We will be seeing his ped again tom to follow up. We also need to speak with his I.D. Dr to see if we are missing something. This is one tired moma.

Thanks for all the prayers everyone.

In the ER

Broc and I have been up since 2am. Poor guy has been throwing up. Not sure if he has a virus or c-diff from being on the antibiotic for his bacterial infection over the weekend.

After cleaning his room, our carpet and bathroom I finally made some tea and sat on the couch to watch tv. No point in going back to bed if you have to get up a couple minutes later. Time came to wake Little Mark for school and get him dressed. Meanwhile Broc continued to throw up. I quickly got Mark ready for school and packed a bag for the hospital. You never know with Broc. I dropped Mark at the neighbors and brought Broc to the ER.

And here we sit. So far they have used out an obstruction and his chest X-ray is clear. We are waiting on blood work and getting him hydrated with an IV.

Labs are okay except for a high WBC and nuetrophil count. He has now spiked a fever as well. He is still extremely tender in his belly area and just lying around. They are trying to rule out a UTI as well as c diff. Still waiting for his Riley Drs to get back with the ER Dr. Meanwhile moma is freezing. A combination of sleep deprived and hunger.

A few updates

Broc went for labs again today to see how his new ABX is treating him.Well his WBC went from
13-5.6 . Wow...... that is a really strong ABX to work that fast. His breathing is still a little fast, his HR is still in the 120's. He is still coughing a lot too. Last night he coughed the whole night.Him and I were up for quite a while. His breathing treatments seem to be helping him. He unfortuntely spiked a fever again tonight so we are not sure if some new germs have come on board or if the germs are fighting really hard. He will see his ped tom for a follow up.Good thing is his blood culture has not grown anything thus far. We are hoping it stays like that.

He also see G.I. tom for a follow up and then Nuero next week. Hopefully these updates will all be positive.

I have been having some heart issues for a few months now and have had various tests done.I have been dx with symtomatic sinus tachycardia.Over the last couple of months it has gotten progressively worse.Which has led me to see a cardiologist,ER visit and many tests. I have been put on a med which will hopefully keep me from having these spells. I also have to eat lots of salt and drink lots of fluid that has extra electrolytes in it. So yes I have joined the boys in drinking gatorade. I am also not allowed to sit on my legs anymore to avoid all the blood leaving the rest of my body.

I have a few more weeks of wearing my brace and then I will have it re x-rayed to see how it is healing.
I am also hoping that I can go back to Curves soon too. I have been on hold the whole time the cardio was running the tests. Now I know why exercise is so important for you.I have really missed working out.

I will update again tom with all the news. Have a great evening everyone and thank you for your continued support and love.
