Update and BIG NEWS!!!

Unfortunately our Buddy fell ill again at the beginning of this month and was diagnosed with Flu A, Adenovirus and pneumonitis. He spent 9 days in the hospital with counts going down to very scary levels again. Unfortunately his dad and brother caught the flu too. Thankfully his Dr was kind enough to give me some meds so that I could avoid it. It worked!! Moma did not get the Flu!!

This picture just melts my heart. Mark sharing his love for guitar with his brother.

Broc will be having 2 procedures in 2 weeks. We are hoping to keep him healthy until then so that everything can go smoothly.

Now for the BIG NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Broc was accepted into the Undiagnosed Diseases Network Program!!! This is huge in so many ways. Many apply and don't get accepted so to be the rarest of rare and have everyone scratching their heads about you can be very helpful in these situations. In the past 12 years we have found some answers and Broc has been given many diagnoses, but only to find out it could be something entirely different. His immune system is so incredibly puzzling to so many.
We know there are many that go through this program and don't get an answer immediately. Those people are put into a database so they can be examined next to others that have similar symptoms in the hopes of finding an answer for them both.
Broc and I will be travelling to Nashville sometime in July/August for a couple days. The testing they have available is some of the best. They will be drawing blood from the whole family and analyzing it against Brocs.
We do hold out hope that an answer may be found and there will be a treatment or possibly a cure. We are also going into this knowing that there may not be an answer or a cure or a treatment. If that is the case then we will continue to give Broc the best quality of life we can until Jehovah can fix it all.
We will keep you all posted. Bearing in mind once the testing is done it could takes months before we would get any results. Thank you for your continued love and support and prayers for our family. Thank you to the wonderful Drs and nurses that helped us through this process. Without your hard work non of this would be possible.
