Urology update and then some...

On Tuesday the boys and I made the drive to Mott Children's Hospital to see Brocs urologist. He examined him and listened to all we had to say. He then asked Broc to describe what he is feeling and where and said that he maybe having constipation issues and that could be causing the pressure feeling. I told him that he does have it and he is in meds for it. We also thought that we had it under control until....

Broc had an abdominal x-ray (KUB) done yesterday after using the restroom and it showed that his  colon was still full. Needless to say we do not have this monster under control and it continues to cause havoc in Brocs life. He cannot add more fibre to his diet because it just shuts his colon down due to him having gastroparesis.

I called his GI and he is sending a referral for Broc to have manometry testing and a biopsy to rule out Hirschsprungs Disease. We have been down this road before as Little Mark had this done a few years ago.

On another note things were a little scary yesterday and today as we had some weird things with Little Mark. He had a Drs appointment yesterday as he has been "off" for a while and had headaches and ear pain. While we were waiting I noticed his legs. He had long pants on e whole day so I never noticed anything different but changed into shorts before his app. His legs were covered in bruises so we brought it to the Drs attention. She noticed some more in his arms too. She was a little concerned as was I so we were sent for blood work.
His rbc, hct and hgb all came back low. Thankfully his platelets and WBC were normal. His Dr dx him with anemia but said they wanted more testing so today he went for clotting factor testing. He said the bruising was a result of the anemia. Needless to say I was a bundle of nerves until we got the results later today. Thankfully all those number were good so now Mark has to take iron supplements like Broc does. We found a very nice tasting one with Vit C in it. It's a chewable so very easy to take too.

It has been a very stressful couple of days. I have not been feeling the greatest either which doesn't make it any easier. My body does not like the rainy, damp weather.

Daddy was home today so we all went to our favorite diner for breakfast. As we were driving through the town the boys were talking about how they missed living there and all the fun times they had, like they had been living there for years and years. It was really cute to listen to their conversation.

Thank you to everyone who offered prayers for us. Seems like this Summer will be a busy one.

What a beautiful way to end a crazy day. Thank you Jehovah.
