Broc went to see Dr Z.

We went to see Dr Z on Friday.She is a really lovely Dr and great with children.While she was gathering all the family history from both sides and talking to her about my leg issues,she asked me to stand up.So I stood up and straightened my legs for her.She saw that from the side my knees were almost bowed.She then did the same with my elbow.She asked to look at any scars that I have and I showed her the one on my finger.I also told her that I had been dx with Fibromyalgia. Well after looking at me (never mind that the app was for Broc) she dx me with Ehlers -Danlos Syndrome Type 3 or Hypermobility. We then realised Mark has many of the same issues so he probably has it too as we had a 50% chance of passing it down to our children.

Then she turns to Broc and carries on with his examine.She noted hooded eyelids on him,reflux,a few other things she never said and many heart issues so she is testing him for 22q11.2 deletion syndrome.She is not definite about that but wants to rule it out.

She then took him into another room to examine his legs properly.She noted that his right leg muscles and bones are smaller over all.She thinks that it is due to the lack of profusion from the occlusion of the femoral and illiac artery. She is really not concerned about his leg bones per say.She did say that we should see a ped. orthopedist to get a second opinion.

For now we are waiting to see what the blood test says.

Broc had a big event happen this weekend.He had his first sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa's house.I am thinking about him all the time and missing hearing his voice in the house.It is really quiet in the house without him.We miss you Buddy.

Brocs first dental procedure

Broc had to have 1 molar sealed today.I don't think he really had any idea of what was happening.He asked if it was the same as them brushing his teeth like the last time and I said yes but a little different.

He climbed on the chair with no problem and put on the sun glasses.When they put the vice in his mouth to hold it open he threw a fit and was kicking and screaming.The nurse says to me you will have to hold him down.So I could not take any pics during the procedure.

Once we talked him through it and I stroked his leg he started to calm down more.He kept asking if they were done and they would say just a little more.

After a balloon and many stickers he was himself again.Poor buddy.I managed to take 2 pics.One before with his brother and then after with his balloon.

Another Milestone for Buddy and Mark

Buddy has learned to poop on the toilet.So he is wearing underwear during the day and still in a diaper at night.Mommy is too scared to put him in underwear just yet. He is so proud of himself. This is a picture of Marks pre-school.He will graduate from here in May.

Mark had Kindergarten roundup last Wednesday.He was very over whelmed with all the
children and big school.He had fun doing the Treasure Hunt and meeting all the new teachers.
Broc had his teeth cleaned last week too and was given a very good report despite all the iron and antibiotics he has been on. He only needs a sealant on 1 of his back molars.That will take place on Thursday.We will see how he handles that. Below is Buddys favourite food.Shrimp.

What a week!!!!!!!!!

Oh wow.What a week we have had.Well its been longer than that I guess.Broc has been ill since his ENT surgery.After the sinus infection he got the stomach flu.A couple days into the stomach flu he got a croup virus with a fever.

If thats not all his poor brother has been ill too.He had bronchitis then he got the stomach flu too.But then his bronchitis turned into pneumonia.Whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been a very busy mommy. We think daddy has had a touch of the tummy bug too as he was not well for a few days too.I have not had it yet.Let's hope I don't get it cause we all know what happens if mommy's get sick.

We have been in contact with Broc's vascular surgeon again as he is having a lot of leg pain again.We have discovered that because his blood pressure is low in his leg due to the missing/blocked arteries it goes even lower when he gets a fever and that causes even more pain for the poor guy.His Dr has ordered another pressure test to see how his arteries are doing.

We have a date for the geneticist too that will be on 25 March.

I really hope the warmer weather will bring good health to this part of town.I was looking at the weather and saw that warmer weather is not very near in our future so not sure what to think.
